Ted Shred’s Co. Ltd. was founded for the same reason every business is started, to solve a problem. The problem that Ted Shred’s solves is simple:  Everyone burns candles, but most of the candles available either look like somebody’s grandmother designed them or they are way too expensive for your average beach bum to purchase.  Who buys $75 candles these days; we sure don’t!

From humble beginnings, Ted Shred’s was founded in 2004 by a young entrepreneur by the name of Edward Hennessey, out of a tiny office in a little New Jersey coastal town. 

It was there, that the world’s first surf wax scented candles were born!  We captured the iconic coconut surf wax scent that immediately makes you think of the beach, surfing and bikinis!  That’s why we call it “The Scent of Surfing” and have offered them in the coolest designs, under the brand name Ted Shred’s, all at a price that people can still afford. 

Soon afterward, we introduced the original surf wax scented air freshener for the car and the rest is history.

Today, thanks to thousands of loyal customers from around the globe, Ted Shred’s has grown significantly and can now be found in over 650 surf shops, boutiques and specialty stores throughout the USA and on 4 continents.
